Military Competition
Royal Windsor Horse Show is famed for its military connections, having been started in 1943 to raise money for the war effort. Each year both the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and the Household Cavalry perform special displays at the Show with their Musical Drive and Musical Ride respectively.
There are also important military competitions at the Show, including the Services Team Jumping Competition, the Best Turned Out Trooper Competition and the Best Gun Competition, all of which take place on Saturday 4th May.
