Travel By Train
Windsor & Eton Central Station is approximately a 10/15-minute walk from the entrance to the Show and is served by Great Western Railway allowing travel via Slough from London Paddington in the east and from destinations across the south west and Wales.
Windsor & Eton Riverside Station is approximately a 5-minute walk from the entrance to the Show and served by South Western Railway allowing travel from London Waterloo in the east and many towns in the south and west via Staines.
We advise checking National Rail for train times before you travel. Travel by Car
The nearest motorways to the showground are the M4, M25 and M3. AA signage will direct you to available car parks outside the showground.
Travelling from the south and west
Please use the A303 /M3 (J3) as opposed to the M4 (J6) wherever possible, thus avoiding Windsor town centre.
Travelling from the M4 Maidenhead (J7/8) and Slough (J6)
Follow the AA signs to the Show car park.
Travelling from the M3 (J3)
Designated routes will direct you via Ascot, Windsor Great Park and Datchet to the Show car park.
Travelling from the north and east
Please approach via the M25 (J13) or M4 (J5) at Colnbrook. Designated routes will direct you via Datchet to the Show car park.
Travel by Coach
Operators or organisers of coach parties have two options for parking. Please note spaces are limited for Romney Lock Road and must be pre-booked.
- Romney Lock Road Coach Park is located approximately a 5-minute walk to the Show entrance. Parking must be booked in advance
- Alma Road Coach Park ia located approximately a 10/15-minute walk to the Show entrance. This can be pre-booked through the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council website.
Tavel by Minibus
Minibuses of up to 15 people may park in the Show Car Park and pay for x 2 car park spaces. Larger mini buses are classed as coaches and should use the Coach Parks described above.
Parking
Parking costs £12 and can be booked in advance at the point of purchasing your tickets. All Royal Windsor Horse Show Club members receive free advance car parking as a part of their membership.
You may also pay for parking on arrival at the show, though there is limited space so you may be disappointed.
PLEASE NOTE: All parking on site must be paid for by card, no cash will be handled by the car parking attendants.
The main public car park is located in Home Park Public, opposite the Box Office entrance to the Show. Parking is on grass and is around a 5-10 minute walk to the Showground itself. Spaces are limited so we do recommend booking in advance.
Access car parking is located in the King Edward VII Car Park. It is available to Blue Badge holders only and must be booked in advance when booking your tickets.
Limited coach parking is available for the 2024 Show, and can be booked through the Box Office.
