It is with great sadness that we announce that the Bahraini horse, Farid De Faust (No.52), suffered a fracture of the left fore cannon whilst competing in the CEI** 120km Royal Windsor Endurance supported by the Kingdom of Bahrain in Windsor Great Park, UK at 14:55 on 3rd May 2024. Farid De Faust, a nine-year-old gelding, was out on the third loop of the ride when the injury occurred, and he received immediate veterinary attention. He was transferred to a specialist equine veterinary hospital for further investigation but sadly the injury was found to be inoperable and on humane grounds and with the agreement of the owners and rider, the decision was taken to euthanise the horse.
